Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp sugar (25 g)
  • ¾ cup milk (2 dl)
  • 0.5 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 6 slices of bread
  • 1 tbsp butter for frying (15 g)

Instructions

Make the custard

  • In a wide, rimmed dish, whisk together: 2 eggs, 2 tbsp sugar (25 g), 2 dl milk (200 ml / ¾ cup + 1 tbsp), 0.5 tsp ground cardamom, 1 tsp ground cinnamon.
  • Whisk until smooth.

Soak the bread

  • Add 6 slices of bread to the custard. Let them sit for a few minutes, turning once, so they soak up the mixture evenly.

Fry until golden
